Visual literacy is the ability to interpret, negotiate, and make meaning from information presented in the form of an image.
In a world where 1.8 billion images are uploaded to social media on a daily basis and 90 % of all information sharing is through visual communication the need to develop a student’s visual understanding has never been more important . The students need to enhance their visual capacity and gain an ability to construct meaning from images. This capacity would allow them to describe, analyse and ultimately interpret meaning from all different creative media. Learning in the corridors on the walkway or at home if we give the students the tools they can take their learning to new exciting levels.
